Arducam Introduces a Series of Cameras Based on NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX System-on-Module
NANJING/China — March 23, 2023 — Arducam today introduced a series of cameras powered by the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB system-on-module (SoM) for edge AI and robotics.
These camera modules, including 12 Jetson-native cameras and 5 Jetvariety cameras, aim to help NVIDIA Jetson users design their machine vision products. They offer a wide variety of different CMOS sensors, different resolutions, interface options, shutter types (rolling or global) and lenses, plus robust support by Arducam’s customization service based on specific demands.
The NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit, as well as the availability of the full lineup of Jetson Orin production modules, was announced during NVIDIA GTC, a global AI conference. Arducam Cameras for NVIDIA Jetson Orin, powered by the newest Jetson Orin NX production modules, add to the global adoption of Jetson Orin.
The NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB module delivers up to 100 TOPS of AI performance in the smallest NVIDIA Jetson form factor, with power configurable between 10W and 25W. This offers 3X the performance of the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier and 5X the performance of the Jetson Xavier NX, making it ideal for small form-factor, low-power products like drones and handheld devices.
The NVIDIA Jetson Orin system-on-module supports multiple concurrent AI application pipelines with an NVIDIA Ampere architecture GPU, next-generation deep learning and vision accelerators, high-speed I/O, and fast memory bandwidth. Now, users can develop solutions using their largest and most complex AI models to solve problems such as natural language understanding, 3D perception, and multi-sensor fusion.
These camera modules use a variety of sensors (e.g., IMX219, IMX477, IMX519, OV9281, OV2311) and mainly support MIPI interface, running on the environment of JP5.1 / L4T 35.2.1.
Powered by NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX, these Arducam cameras are to be broadly applied to numerous machine vision use cases, such as agriculture (crop monitoring, robotic picking), medicine and life sciences (remote patient monitoring, diagnostic imaging), industry (industrial inspection, 3D scanning, drone delivery) and so on.
In general, Arducam aims to make computer vision with the NVIDIA Jetson platform simpler, smarter, and more cost effective. The above-mentioned cameras are now available.
