Different mode means different resolution. In different resolution, some time you should fine tune the gain.

In fact, we use the camera led pin to control the IR cut, for the PI4, the led pin does not be connected, the pin is impending , so the state is not sure.

Yes, This camera supports MJPG YUV and h264 encoder format. It will expose two video node.
You can run the command to check each node :
v4l2-ctl -d 0 –list-formats-ext
v4l2-ctl -d 1 –list-formats-ext

Please attach me your hardware setup.
For the Arducam ESp32S psram board， the i2c pin are 21 and 22.

Please ensure which pin you have connected your DS3231 module to.
I have tested the strobe signal on raspberrypi platform and it can work normal.
Just open the arducamstill.c and add
arducam_write_sensor_reg(camera_instance, 0x3005, 0x08);
arducam_write_sensor_reg(camera_instance, 0x3B81, 0xFF);
Then recompile the code and run ./arducamstill -t 0 to check :
You can’t choose Local V4l2 cmaera, because we don’t have driver in the v4l2 framework.
When you choose the network camera, you should ensure you can send image data via some Specific protocol the motioneye need.
Can you tell me the detail hardware platforms? What’s the platform you running the motioneye application? What’s the platform you use the SPI camera?
Just ignore the 0x3004 register which just the debug control register. As I have said to you in the email, you just need to set the 0x3005 to 0x08 and 0x3B81to 0xFF
