Hello there,
What is maximum the resolution and frame rate the Stereo Camera HAT can handle? For example, I need a setup where I can capture 1920x1080@30FSP on both stereo cameras trough the Stereo HAT for synchronization, is this possible?

Hello,
Sorry for my late reply.
UC-625 Rev.B (the Stereo Camera HAT)
[Highest resolution]
When the input is in RAW8 format, the maximum resolution of each input is 8192×4096, that is, the maximum output resolution after the full spelling is 16384×4096;
When the input is in RAW10 format, the maximum resolution of each input is 6552×4096, that is, the maximum output resolution after the full spelling is 13104×4096;
[Maximum frame rate]
The maximum frame rate depends on the maximum actual bandwidth and output resolution. (Resolution × frame rate <maximum actual bandwidth)
The MIPI output byte clock of HAT is 94MHz and 2Lane output, so the maximum theoretical bandwidth of the output is 94×2=188MB/s.
Taking into account the line blanking and field blanking, there is a certain waste of bandwidth (depending on the camera’s HTS and VTS configuration), it is estimated that the maximum actual bandwidth is 188×80%=150MB/s.
If the single camera is 1920×1080@30fps, RAW10 format (RAW10 data volume is 1.25 times of RAW8),
The bandwidth after the full spelling is 1920×1080×30×1.25×2=148MB/s, which does not exceed the estimated maximum actual bandwidth. The preliminary assessment should be OK.
If not, you can change to RAW8 format, or slightly reduce the number of frames.
